Shortly after World War 2, two residents of the Mariastraat in Wormer (the Netherlands), started producing large paintscrapers typically to be used to clean vessels. After a few years and moving back from a location next to the Zaanse Schans, Nooij family took over the business and has continued the business to this day, with currently the third generation taking over activities from current owner Wilhelmus Reinier Nooij.
